Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Wasl ("Wasl", "we", "us") about your use of the Wasl app and website. By creating an account or using Wasl, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Wasl.
1. Who can use Wasl
You must be at least 18 years old. You must give accurate information, including your date of birth, and keep your sign-in details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
2. What Wasl does
Wasl helps people find and organise sports meets, communities and competitions, and talk to other players. Wasl is a platform only. We don't organise, supervise or run the games, we don't own or manage venues, and we don't check players' identity, fitness or skill.
3. Playing sport is at your own risk
Sport involves a risk of injury. You take part in any meet, competition or other activity found through Wasl at your own risk. Make sure you are fit to play, use suitable equipment, follow venue rules, and stay safe when meeting people you don't know. Organisers are responsible for the meets they create, including booking venues and obtaining any permits required for organised events or tournaments. Avoid outdoor play in the midday heat between May and September.
4. Your content
You own the content you post (such as photos, messages and descriptions). You give Wasl permission to store, display and share it within the app and on the Wasl website as needed to run the service. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to post it.
5. Rules
When using Wasl, you must not:
- Harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone.
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, sexual, violent or misleading, or that breaks the laws of the State of Qatar.
- Pretend to be someone else or create fake accounts.
- Spam, advertise without permission, or use Wasl to sell things not related to the activity.
- Collect other users' information, or misuse it outside Wasl.
- Offer cash prize pools, collect pooled entry money for prizes, or organise any betting or gambling. Prizes may only be trophies, medals or vouchers.
- Join or create women-only games or communities if you are not a woman.
- Photograph or film other players without their clear consent, or share such photos or videos. This applies everywhere, and especially at women-only games. It may also be a crime under Qatari law.
- Organise meets at venues you don't have the right to use (for example private, school or compound facilities without permission), or run paid coaching or commercial sessions at public venues without the required permits.
- Interfere with the app, try to access accounts or data that aren't yours, or get around our safety features.
6. Payments between players
Some meets show a cost per person (for example to share a pitch booking or equipment). Wasl doesn't process these payments. Any payment is between you and the organiser, and Wasl isn't responsible for refunds or disputes.
Money is only settled at the venue, at or after the meet. Organisers may say what each player's share will be, but must not ask anyone to pay or transfer money (for example by Fawran, bank transfer, IBAN or SkipCash) before the meet has taken place. Asking for payment in advance is not allowed on Wasl and leads to the account being banned. If someone asks you to pay before a meet, don't pay, and report them in the app.
7. Safety tools and enforcement
You can block users and report people or content in the app. We may review reports, remove content, and suspend or delete accounts that break these terms, with or without notice. Organisers of communities can remove members, and removed members cannot rejoin that community.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
9. The service is provided "as is"
We work to keep Wasl available and accurate, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that the information posted by users is correct. To the extent the law allows, Wasl is not liable for injuries, losses or damages arising from meets, other users' behaviour, or your use of the app.
10. Changes
We may change Wasl or these terms. If changes are significant we'll tell you in the app. Continuing to use Wasl after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, and disputes are subject to the courts of Qatar.
